Butterscotch Sky by Dave Horlick  Fri, 21 Apr 2006 15:59:31 GMT

Mars! | Zeke is wearing a space suit. | Zeke: Why is the sky butterscotch? Back on Earth the sky is some other color.Meg and Bridget are also revealed to be wearing space suits. | Meg: Maybe because we're further away from the Sun? Or because everything weighs less? | Bridget: Or maybe because the air is different.Bridget: Let's make the air more like Earth's and see what happens. | Zeke: Okay.Bridget unloads fertilizer into a wheelbarrow from a space plane.Bridget tills the soil with a hoe. Meg sows seeds. Zeke adds little plant identification signs reading "GM Antarctic Hair Grass"Many years later. | Bridget, now an adult, is wearing a kind of mesh suit and a filter mask. Meg is wearing an oxygenated serape. | Meg: Okay, the atmosphere now has a lot more oxygen. Get out the color charts.Zeke has a harmonica-like filter in his mouth. | Zeke: Periwinkle? Robin's egg? | Meg: It's definitely bluer.Bridget: Looks like we might have been right!Zeke has raked up a pile of leaves next to several drums of kerosene. | Zeke: Okay! Let's set everything back.
